No All-Star game before the start of IPL 2020


A report in Mumbai Mirror said No All-Star game before the start of IPL 2020. the franchises informally that the All Star Game has been postponed.

The franchises were not willing to let go of players fearing potential injuries before the start of the season while there were also monetary issues as there was no clarity over who would pay the players for the match.

Last month a charity match the game was scheduled to play between teams belonging to South and Western India- Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad – locking horns with teams from North and East – Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals.

The BCCI has recently released the IPL 2020 league phase schedule but there was not mention of the All Star Game in it. Meanwhile, the IPL is set to start on March 29 with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
