Australia set a record-equalling victory against Sri Lanka

Australia Women’s sets up the record-equalling victory against Sri Lanka women team. Australia won over Sri Lanka with a thumping 157-run win in the opening match of their three-game ODI series at Allan Border Field in Brisbane while won by 110 runs in the second match.



Australia scored a highly competitive 282-8 off their 50 overs on Monday, before dismissing Sri Lanka for just 172/9 off 50.0 overs.

Australian opening batswomen Rachael Haynes led the way with 118 runs in 132 balls including 08 fours, while Australian bowler Jess Jonassen took impressive figures for 4/31.

This is the 17th consecutive ODI win for Australia and follows on from a clean sweep of the recent T20 series.

This victory is set to Australia’s Australia’s record-equalling victory 110 runs victory the longest ever winning streak in the history of women’s ODIs set by the Belinda Clark-led Australian side between 1997 and 1999.
