The Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s next aim the World Cup title
The Indian batting-all-rounder Hardik Pandya says his next focused on getting a World cup winners medal to his bag after his team Mumbai Indians claimed the third Indian Premier Title since he joined the team. The final match took place on Sunday night against defending Champions Chennai Super Kings at the Hyderabad stadium; he was also part of Mumbai Indians wins in 2015, 2017 and now 2019.
Pandya played a crucial role in Mumbai Indian’s team in every season, since he joined (2015) the team. Especially this season the star-all rounder played a key role in many of the teams victories. He played a total of 16 matches in this season and scored 402 runs with wonderful strike rate of 191.42 and he scored his IPL’s highest score 91. Pandya also hit a terrific knock against Chennai Super Kings when his team needed 30 runs in 12 balls; scored 21 runs in 8 balls. Pandya smashed 29 sixes and 28 fours as well in this season of IPL. He performed well with the ball as well as he picked 14 wickets in 42.5 overs he bowled in the season.
Hardik’s all-around performance in IPL:
“My plan was to win this IPL, now all the focus goes on the World Cup, I want to lift that trophy as well, I want to tick that box,” Hardik said after won the third IPL title.
“Before I made my debut, I had Mumbai Indians wallpaper on my phone, Five years down the line, with three trophies, it is a dream. Krunal Pandya is a pillar in my life, and he will be always” he concluded.
The left-arm spinner Krunal Pandya played a key role in the final match against CSK. He picked Chennai Super Kings opener Faf du Plessis’s wicket and joined a crucial run-out of Shane Watson who was the top scorer for the CSK team in the Final match.
“It is a dream come true for us, from our childhood days, we have wanted to play together at a good level, playing for the country, and playing IPL for such a big franchise,” said Krunal Pandya.
“When we were not playing, Mumbai Indians were our dream team, as was representing them on occasions like this.” He added.
Hardik Pandya made his ODI debut on 16th October 2016 against New Zealand as an all-rounder. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler. He played a total of 45 ODI matches and scored 731 runs, got 45 wickets as well.
